And the philosophy of art. My dissertation lies at the intersection between aesthetics and ethics, particularly moral and aesthetic judgment. It argues that a certain type of sensitivity to reasons, what I call fine discernment, is required in making warranted judgments. Developing this sensitivity in the art sphere has payoff in the moral sphere, as it encourages finely attuned moral awareness.
